CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

(JAN, FEB & MARCH 2018)

At the end of the month of March the Trunkoz Team visited the “Bal Anand World Children Welfare Trust
India” which resides in the Chembur region of Mumbai city. Set up in 1984, the organization started with just
8 children in their residential care which has today rose up to 70 kids ranging from the age of 2 months to the
age of 18 years old. Bal Anand has 10 caretakers that look after all the needs of these kids. Speaking of needs
the four storey building comprises of spaces divided according to age groups which range in 0 to 6 months, 6
months to 1 1/2 years groups and further more. It also has separate rooms for kitchen area, dinning rooms,
Sick rooms, playing room apart from sleeping quarters. The fourth floor of the building is where the teaching
quarters (school) are located. Every Wednesday the doctors take rounds to keep a check on the health of all
kids of Bal Anand. With the motive to provide a little assistance in the great deed the institution is invested in
we carried along with ourselves Food ingredients like daal, rice, and more.

The trust is not just limited to Orphan kids but also includes differently-able kids. Thus, in taking care of them,
and respecting the privacy and comfort of the kids, the trust strictly bans visitors from taking pictures or
touching of kids, visitors are allowed to openly interact with the kids though.
